Description

Ooh baby it’s cold outside! This one is definitely one for the dark chocolate fan. Whether it’s a cold night hunkered down by the fire with a good book or entertaining a crowd over the holiday season, this decadent Baileys hot chocolate will definitely warm things up!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 250ml full cream milk
  • 60g Lindt 70% dark couverture chocolate
  • 1 tbsp golden castor sugar
  • 30ml Baileys Irish cream liqueur  
  • white marshmallows
  • lightly whipped cream
  • roughly chopped chocolate (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 100ml of the milk and the chocolate. Warm on a low heat stirring continuously until the chocolate has melted.
  2. Add the remaining milk and sugar and stir in. Heat until the mixture is 60-65 degrees celcius.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the Bailey’s. Give it a quick stir and pour into your serving glass / mug.
  4. Top with whipped cream, marshmallows and dust with a little drinking chocolate.
  5. Sit back and enjoy!
