What To Serve With Roast Lamb – 10 Roast Night Sides!

Roast lamb is the roast dinner of my childhood. Growing up on our farm, there was always a stocked freezer full of lamb meat. And to this day I will always choose a roast lamb over any other meat.

A simple, slow-cooked lamb roast with from-scratch gravy is my favorite Roast dinner.  And give me ALL the sides! Whether it’s a traditional roast with roast potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, and buttered green beans, or a casual spread with salad, pitta, kalamata olives, and hummus, I’m all in!

Anyway, let’s get started. Here are my go-to roast lamb sides…

This fava bean chickpea salad is a bit of a rip-off of one we had for dinner one night as part of a mezze feast at a Lebanese restaurant in Dubai last month. It’s fast, fresh, and flavoursome.

Colcannon Mash – Creamy Irish Mashed Potatoes with Cabbage

Is there anything more comforting than mashed potato? Especially creamy mash with other bits in it? For me, Colcannon is king when it comes to Irish potato dishes.

A potato roasted in duck fat is one thing, but to season with truffle salt, just takes it to a whole, out of this world level.

A Simple Burrata Caprese Salad

Nothing screams the long days of Summer quite like a Caprese salad. Layers of heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil leaves. This simple salad with a burrata twist is a perfect addition to any bbq. A total crowd-pleaser and quick to assemble. It’s a win-win!

How to Make Roast Lamb Gravy (From Pan Juices)

This roast lamb gravy is a classic recipe, super easy, made from the leftover pan juices, and is out-of-this-world delicious. Serve it up alongside a leg of lamb or a slow-cooked lamb shoulder. You won’t regret it!
